Health & Wellness Coach

What We're Looking For:

Elix is seeking a Part Time Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) Health Coach to join our Community Experience team. The ideal candidate is excited to destigmatize menstrual health by sharing an East meets West approach to tuning in to the signals from our cycles and healing our hormonal imbalances from within.

You will provide outstanding care and education for those experiencing menstrual health conditions and be part of a team working to improve the Elix community experience while channeling feedback to the broader team so we can continuously iterate and improve how we serve our community.

We imagine this role to start at 5-10 hours per week, with the opportunity for additional hours and transition full-time (if that is desired). We’re looking for someone who is able to start as soon as possible!

What you’ll do:

  • Collaborate with Elix’s Medical Advisors and Team to identify opportunities to improve community members’ quality of life through adopting health habits based on Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) teachings.
  • Deliver education and emotional support through personal interactions (both 1-on-1 and in small group settings) to Elix community members along key points of their healing journey.
  • Maintain follow-up communication with community members via check-in calls, emails and/or SMS.
  • Support marketing team on educational content – everything from ideating new blogs/emails, fact checking content, presenting to the Elix community, etc.
  • Educate Elix internal team on TCM principles and practices for women’s health.
  • Assist Community Experience Associates in answering TCM-related user questions and fostering conversations on TCM-related topics across Elix social media channels.
  • Serve as a liaison between the Elix community members and Elix team to elevate themes from community member questions, identify trends for new educational content and opportunities to improve the Elix experience.
  • Advise on the Elix product roadmap and future R&D initiatives.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Excited about building a more holistic future of women’s health and chronic care with a passion to inspire people to discover Traditional Chinese Medicine.
  • Intuitive ability to connect with people of all backgrounds and life experiences; genuine empathy + desire to help people reach their health goals and live more fulfilling lives.
  • Master’s Degree in Chinese Herbal Medicine and/or Nutrition with knowledge in Chinese Herbal Medicine - current students are encouraged to apply if you have clinical and/or patient treatment experience.
  • Experience using Google Suite (Calendar, Docs, Sheets, etc.)
  • Experience maintaining HIPAA compliance, as you might be handling sensitive and confidential health information
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills, including customer service skills to calmly and professionally resolve clients' concerns while remaining compliant
  • Flexibility with scheduling is a plus (evenings, weekends, etc.)

Content Strategy & Marketing Manager

What We're Looking For:

We are seeking a creative copywriter, storyteller and digital marketer to develop compelling content that empowers people to discover a healthier more holistic lifestyle and become their own best healers + health advocates.

Some Challenges You’ll Tackle:

  • Create a holistic content strategy (in collaboration with the marketing team) to engage our community across channels, inspiring people to tune in to the signals of our bodies
  • Collaborate cross-functionally (and with external partners) to identify opportunities for new content and campaigns based on Elix community member needs and questions
  • Spearhead the research and copywriting process for all Elix campaigns, incorporating SEO best practices to draft short and long form copy to spark conversations across platforms that increase brand awareness and engagement
  • Understand the Elix tone of voice and continue to develop it as the brand grows, communicating it to freelancers and collaborators
  • Tap into community feedback and consumer trends to plan, test, and launch email & SMS campaigns on a weekly and monthly basis
  • Develop a content approach that leans into Elix educational pillars while identifying on-brand content opportunities across organic channels
  • Track, measure and report on ROI of content efforts to guide future strategies
  • Elevate insights to owned content weekly and monthly to ensure the best copy and content is being shared across channels
  • Coordinate and monitor the operations of email and SMS marketing platforms

  • Has 3-5+ years of experience working in a strategic, copy and content-focused marketing role; digital marketing and/or brand narrative storytelling for online businesses
  • Loves verbal storytelling and has the ability to take the voice of a brand and translate it into compelling content across channels
  • Enjoys engaging with our inspiring community of women and people with periods, both online and IRL - can start a conversation with anyone - and likes to have fun!
  • Lives and breathes copy and content - with breadth of knowledge and experience across channels, mediums and tactics
  • Loves problem solving and thrives in a fast-paced and exciting work environment
  • Has the ability to drive performance against sets of measurable KPIs – identifying areas of opportunity and trends when benchmarking performance or pitching new ideas
  • Is obsessed with trends and culture, actively observing how content and community efforts are evolving and able to stay ahead of the curve
  • Willingness to adjust and shift approach in order to help the larger goal
  • Has an exceptional attention to detail and thrives off of challenging the status quo, with a mindset of ‘how can we do this even better?’
  • Experience & skills: copywriting, editing, Excel, PowerPoint, Google Analytics, email service platforms (Klaviyo, Mailchimp), and SMS service platforms (Attentive, PostScript)
