Content & Community Manager (based in NYC)

We are seeking a dynamic, creative and social savvy content and community manager to create compelling content and lead community building efforts to share wisdom about our cycles + our bodies.
The idea candidate is a “people person” with an obsession for creative content and thrives off of sharing her passion for women’s health and wellness.
Some Challenges You’ll Tackle:
- Create a compelling content strategy and plan to engage our community across platforms
- Execute campaigns meant to spark healthy epiphanies and conversations
- Tap into community feedback and consumer trends to plan, test, and launch campaigns, activations and partnerships
- Closely collaborate with our PR, Digital and Influencer Marketing partners to develop campaigns that increase brand awareness and engagement
- Build influencer campaigns; identify on-brand content creators across social channels and partner on campaigns
- Partner with our Co-founder on partnerships, events and activations
- Manage our Scholarship program - selecting winners and encouraging UGC (user generated content)
- Leverage data to track, measure and report on ROI of efforts to guide future strategies
The Ideal Candidate:
- Has 3-4 years of experience working in a relevant role at a brand, agency or media outlet known in the creative, media, consumer and/or wellness space
- Enjoys engaging with our inspiring community of women both online and IRL - is able to start a conversation with anyone - and likes to have fun!
- Lives and breathes content - with breadth of knowledge and experience across channels, mediums and tactics
- Is proficient in verbal and visual storytelling (eg, Photoshop, Canva) and able to craft creative, unexpected and customer-driven content that unites brand storytelling with community driven initiatives
- Loves problem solving and thrives in a fast-paced and exciting work environment
- Has the ability to drive performance against sets of measurable KPIs – identifying areas of opportunity and trends when benchmarking performance or pitching new ideas.
- Is obsessed with trends and culture, actively observing how content and community efforts are evolving and able to stay ahead of the curve
- Has an exceptional attention to detail and thrives off of challenging the status quo, with a mindset of ‘how can we do this even better?’
- Experience & skills: copywriting, community building & management, basic design (via Photoshop), Excel, PowerPoint, Google Analytics, social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, Twitter, Youtube, Reddit), and email service platforms (Klaviyo, Mailchimp)
Strategy & Business Development Associate (based in NYC)

This is a unique opportunity to work directly with the co-founders on the most impactful areas of the business. You will get to know the inner workings across all facets of a fast-growing startup, working with other team members, consultants, advisors and vendors in setting strategy and project managing key initiatives.
The ideal candidate is a highly motivated, self-starter with a desire to learn and grow quickly into a leadership role and/or start their own business in the future.
You will devise support in crafting company strategy, build frameworks and processes, structure solutions and measure results in the most critical areas of the business.
Some Challenges You’ll Tackle:
- Lead strategic initiatives end to end - jumping into different areas of the business to work on high priority projects such as pursuing a new growth or partnership opportunity or spearheading a new internal operational improvement initiatives or development of new products and business lines
- Build frameworks and developing plans - breaking down a business objective into an actionable plan with concrete milestones, goals and timelines to get us there and metrics to hold us accountable
- Drive and measuring results - draw from sales history, financial data and consumer insights to evaluate and identify new business opportunities across channels and potential partners
- Bring structured, analytical and data-driven approaches to support decision-making across functional areas such as marketing, operations and product development
- Lead initiatives (survey, focus groups, product tests, etc) to help deepen our understanding of specific customer personas, leading to real-life out of home experiences, podcasts, direct mail and additional marketing strategies
The Ideal Candidate:
- Has 1-3 years of professional experience in an analytical field such as management consulting, finance, another strategy department or within a similar Strategy and Operations role at another tech company
- Is highly ambitious and self-motivated with a desire to learn and grow rapidly in their career
- Lives and breathes project plans - is highly attuned to details with strong organizational and communication skills (both oral and written)
- Loves creative problem solving and scenario planning; is able to quickly develop new processes in a fast-paced and exciting work environment
- Has an exceptional attention to detail and thrives off of challenging the status quo, with a mindset of ‘how can we do this even better?’
- Thrives in the face of ambiguity and are energized by complex, ever-evolving situations where there is no correct course of action.
- Demonstrates a ‘test and learn’ mentality with a willingness to roll up your sleeves and do whatever it takes to ensure the success of the business

SOCIAL MEDIA INTERN (PAID)
As Elix’s Social Media Intern, you will work alongside the founding team to dream, plan and execute social content campaigns across Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Pinterest and other emerging platforms.
To succeed, you must be:
- Passionate about women’s health and empowerment
- Talented at spotting highly engaging content, creators and trends
- Full of new ideas and always up for a challenge
- Excellent at communications, ruthlessly organized and highly attentive to details
Ideal candidate:
- Lives and breathes social – especially Instagram
- Has a knack for writing concise copy and spotting lust-worthy images (and hilariously true memes)
- Knows your way around Adobe Suite and/or other relevant creative apps designed for social media asset creation
- Is based in NYC (negotiable for the dream candidate)
- Bonus points: if you have experience in: video production // email marketing // customer service
MEDIA & PARTNERSHIPS INTERN (PAID)
As Elix’s Media & Partnerships Intern, you will work alongside the founding team to build community online and off through partnerships, brand activations (events) and media placements (PR).
To succeed, you must be:
- Passionate about women’s health and empowerment
- Talented at spotting emerging brands, publications, media happenings/trends and communities
- Full of new ideas and always up for a challenge
- Excellent at communications, ruthlessly organized and highly attentive to details
Ideal candidate:
- Lives and breathes content on health, wellness and women’s empowerment
- Loves to conduct research and create lists that could turn into real-life campaigns and partnerships
- Proficient in business emails and spreadsheet management with experience across Gmail, Google Drive and Microsoft Suite (Excel and PowerPoint or Sheets)
- Is based in NYC
- Bonus points: experience in PR and/or business development with experience planning large-scale events
